At the Body Piercing Clinic of Profound Piercing in Glastonbury, Somerset, UK. What is the structure of the course? The week begins with laying down the foundations. We begin by looking at where body piercing is coming from and possibly going to, including body modification. We then move swiftly onto the things listed in the curriculum together with observation of piercings being performed and practical application of what you have learnt. Will I do any piercings myself during the course? Definately!. It all depends on how many clients come into the clinic. It very much depends on the weather and other factors like the time of the year. Trainees have been known to do between two and about thirty! How many people are in a group? From two to a maximum of four people. Do I have to bring anything with me? Whilst we supply you with lots of hand-outs together with a ring binder, a writing pad, pens and pencils would be useful. Do you teach the use of 'guns'? No! They should only be used on earlobes in any case and it is not good body piercing practice. Which piercings are covered on the course? All above the waist piercings including surface and below the waist on our genital piercing course. Is the course accredited? All courses are accredited by The British Body Piercing Association. Is there a minimum age for training? Yes, we do not train anyone under the age of 18. How do I pay for the course? All course fees are to be paid in Sterling pounds. Half of the course fee needs to be sent with the application form as a deposit and the balance paid one month before the start of the course.
